Noosa Surf Report for 8th January 2026

Conditions

The Noosa surf report for the 8th of January 2026 shows a swell filling in from the east, running at around one and a half metres at seven seconds. Winds are running at about 10 to 15 knots from the southeast, with a long fetch on that wind running deep into the Pacific.

High tide is around 12 pm, with the low tide around 6 pm.

Best Places to Surf

The best places for surfing are going to be on the outer Noosa points on the low tide. As the tide fills in, the better waves will be found down between the rock walls.

Wave heights are expected to be a little bit over waist high.

Board Choice

These conditions are going to suit boards with plenty of volume. The Laguna Bay SleepWalker single fins are going to be the go. For learners, there will be a lot of fun to be had on the Summer Vibes Softboards.

Foam and Resin offers surfboard rental options in Noosa for these conditions.
