Noosa Surf Report for the 10th of January 2026

Conditions

For January 10th, we’ll see the continuation of the easterly trade wind swell, with the swell building to around 1.8 metres. This will be an improvement in both size and power compared to the last few days, bringing more energy to the points.

We’ll have a low tide at 6:45am, followed by a high tide around 1:00pm. The tide will be an important factor throughout the day, with conditions improving as the water fills in.

The wind will unfortunately be a factor. It’s expected to be easterly early, then bend more northeast as the day progresses, building to around 10 to 15 knots. While the northeasterly wind won’t make surface conditions perfect, the waves will still be very rideable, especially in the more protected locations.

Overall, it won’t be a perfect day, but it will still be a fun day of surf, with improved size and enough power to make the most of the points.

Best Place to Surf

The best places to surf will be on the inner points of Noosa, from Boiling Pot down through First Point. These areas will be more protected from the northeasterly wind compared to the outer points.

The best surfing time will favour mid to high tide, roughly between 10:00am and 1:00pm. The higher tide should slightly improve the surface conditions, making the waves a little cleaner and a little more lined up.

Best Surfboards to Hire

The best boards for the day will be the Sleepwalker Laguna Bay single fins and the Vampirate Performance Nose Rider.
The Summer Vibes Foamies remain a great option for those learning or for anyone who just wants to have some fun. All boards are available through Foam and Resin.
